ISP's

Who to Choose?

We do not recommend AOL.  If you load AOL on your computer in all likelihood we will not service your account anymore!   AOL is very likely the single worse ISP in the known universe.  (OK they are bad but there might be someone worse, but we have yet to deal with anyone in their league!)

Choosing an ISP is not an easy thing these days.  Our company has had relationships with no fewer than a dozen or so ISP over the last 10 years.  In fact we had so much trouble with ISP's that we had to actually start supply ISP services to some of our existing clients.

For the most part we do not recommend the larger national ISP's.  For a long time we did not recommend SBC (previous known as PacBell), but over the last year or so their service has improved to the point that we are now recommending them.  For a very long time we were a big fan of Allegiance Telecom, but since they were purchased by XO their service a slipped by more than just a bit.  We prefer local providers that have been in business for awhile and have a well trained and stable staff, however these type of companies just don't exist any longer.

If you must have a national account, check out MSN or SBC.

Presently DKC can provide most ISP services, including web hosting, e-Mail, dial up accounts and co-location services.
