Getting Better

Over the last year or so there has been some real progress in the reliability of DSL service.  It is still not to the point were we recommend it for business service but it is much more reliable that it has ever been. 

DSL is a good deal only if you can afford to off line every once in awhile.  If you need to be up all the time spend a little more money and get something more reliable that DSL service. 

The bottom line on all this is that well DSL service is better than it has even been it is still unreliable.  However it is cheap and it is a lot faster than modem or dial-up service.  If you have a tight budget and you can afford to be off-line a few times a month DSL may be for you.  If you are running a business and need to be up all the time DSL is not for you!

If you do find that DSL service is for you we recommend SBC DSL Service over everyone else.
