Tip 5: Automatically
sort email using Rules in Outlook
When email arrives, it can be automatically sorted into folders using rules you set. Just click on the Tools menu and choose Rules Wizard (or Rules on the Mac) to set up filters for your mail. This is particularly handy for email-based discussion groups or for blocking mail from a particular sender (sort mail right into the trash).
Tip 6: Leave your computer on at night
to receive updates
When we set up a
computer, we set it to automatically
retrieve updates late at night for Windows and McAfee VirusScan. These
updates are only installed if the computer is running, however. Please leave
your computer running at night so it can keep up to date. If you are
concerned about someone using the system without your permission, you can
log off in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Click on Start and choose Log Off.
