Tip 3: Improve security with Windows Update
Microsoft continually discovers ways they can improve Windows and makes software updates available. These patches usually help resolve a security problem in the operating system. On some of our clients' networks we configure these updates to be delivered automatically, but it is easy to install these patches yourself. Just point your web browser to
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com to automatically scan your computer and install needed updates.

Tip 4: Connecting to Outlook Web Access
When you are at the office you may use Outlook to send and receive email. When you are away from the office, though, you can access your email from any Internet-connected computer using Outlook Web Access. Just point your web browser to the address of your mail server: http://mail.yourdomain.com/exchangeJust substitute your domain name for "yourdomain.com" in the address. For example, mail hosted at Dan Knox Consulting can be accessed on the Web at
http://mail.danknox.com/exchange.
